Saw The Hangover on Wednesday with Judy... Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant. At one point I laughed so hard I stated choking on the popcorn.
I though I was actually going to burst from trying hold in the laughter.
The film is fantasticly written. Most grown-up 'teen type' comedys have cheap laughs to fill gaps, but each and every laugh (and there were hundereds) were well written and well deliverd.
I don't wanna spoil it for anyone but some of my highlights were:
"I didnt know the holocaust gave out rings"
The taser kid
The naked Chinese man in the trunk
Good news for hangover fans... there's already plans for Hangover 2 due out May 2011! woop! :)
I have not seen Transformers, but Transformers 2 is brilliant. It has explosions and planes and tanks and guns and Transformers and fast cars. Basically its a massive boys film... out yeah and it has Megan F♥x!
My friend Sarah and I had a mini movie night on Saturday. Sarah is the type of head strong person that would make any feminist proud. Consequently when it came time to choose between takeaways, Indian (her choice) or Chinese (my choice), we ended up having Indian. I was looking at the long-term strategy; concede the food so I could make the movie choice... the brilliant, high-octane, testosterone pumping Iron Man!... in HD!!! or Sarah's choice - Bride Wars (yawn). It came down to a straight fight, my Action-Adventure Blockbuster Vs her Cat-Fight Chick-Flick Comedy. Well to cut a long story short, I went down quicker than Ricky Hatton in an Las Vegas ring. Bride Wars it was.
What a scary movie... for men anyway. It seems that where weddings are concerned, women turn into crazy bridezillas. This is something I had suspected and men around the world had warded of, but this film conformed it. The film was not only enough to give me 'the fear' of commitment, proposing and marriage, but it actually made my testicles retract up inside my body.
Bride Wars is the story of two crazy best friends who, due to some ridiculous circumstances, are getting married at the same venue on the same day. They set out to sabotage each other’s weddings with “hilarious consequences”. I say hilarious consequences - the only real time I stopped cowering to have a small chuckle was when Kate Hudson turned Anne Hathaway into an Umpa Lumpa (right) and Anne retaliated turning Kate’s hair blue (above).
I give Bride Wars two andrewdearling.com stars
