What a show this week... so much happened, it seemed to go on forever
First I was happy to have Greg back on Sharks; I’d had a hard week. Hadn’t been getting on with Maz, Nadejah (as always), Mark and Xanthi. Although Kevin and Doug were rapidly become great mates. I usually keep myself busy building, but after finishing off the dressing room I gave Doug a hand with the Chappell, but as it was his personal project I took a back seat. That left me with a lot of time on my hands... what to do... not a great sun bathe like the other, so I mainly reflected and thought. This led me to think that sometimes I wasn’t very happy with some of the group and how they treat me, so I raised it. Wow was that a big mistake... I felt more worn down as a result. That was however one blip in an otherwise amazing experience... and I believe my last argument! Halleluiah.
Next came the wedding! The wedding?... in episode 11? My suspicions were confirmed when I spotted Hollie standing as one of the grooms guests. Had she swam over for the big day? No it’s just that RDF obviously decided that it needed to be in episode 11, and found no good way to remove Hollie to make up for this (either that or the editors didn’t spot her)
What a bizarre event that was! Good use of the Chappell though. It was a beautiful little area. The sun shone through the trees and cast a an almost stain glass effect on the floor. Now I had been helping Doug build the Chappell so before the grand unveiling I knew what it was going to look like, but little did I know that we would walk in on a full size crucifix! It was a little like a comedy stretch; Doug walking down the beach with 2 massive bits of wood, then we hear banging coming from somewhere before the reveal of a 12 foot cross. I thought Doug handled Mark and Xanthi’s disapproval of the area very well. My personal view was; if you don’t like, piss off out of there then. It was out of the way and you don’t have to go there if you don’t want to.
So one of the Tigers pigs is gone. I can exclusively reveal that a shark pig is gone too. We actually killed ours first, but I guess when you have Silkie on your island it means that’s the story they are going to go with... shame.
Sergeant Major Risner deployed the Shark platoon to the beach for training and war games... unfortunately no one told Bene or Mackenzie that it was just an exercise. So when Mackenzie went for the line and thumping tackle from Private Bene resulted in an awful knee injury for Mackenzie. Medic I called and fortunately two of our researchers Ben & Jimbo and one of our camera men, Matt, were on hand to call a boat in and ship Mackenzie off to hospital. The crew were great at giving us updates on how he was. For me however all I could think about was that he was getting REAL food! Lucky B*stard... except for the knee and hospitalisation etc
Then we had another awful twist at the beach party. We won Sasha but had to lose Bene, I wasn’t to bothered that we lost Bene. I was mainly concentrating on getting my lines right... I was concentrating so hard that I forgot to speak and sounded like someone had ripped my vocal chords out.
The we had an even better bit of news... Hollie was coming to join us! Lois, Nadejah and a few others weren’t happy about this... Nadejah described Hollie as fake... how she can say this having never lived with her is beyond me! Hollie is not fake, she is one of the most genuine and open people I know. So I was delighted to have her, if only for a week... well fingers crossed she stays.
And so that wraps up another episode of shipwrecked... not long to go now and Sharks have regained the lead J
So until next time, goodbye xx
