"What do I want to go in the water for? What's in the water for me? Why would I want to go in the water to say 'hiya' to that lot? I can say 'hiya' to anyone. I can say 'hiya' on the sand... to myself" And so Shipwrecked 2009: Battle of the Islands (Channel 4, Sunday, 22 February, 12:30pm) goes. If you took the cameras away from the desert islands which T4 have placed two groups of complete dunderheads, you'd almost have an near perfect situation in life. Basically, if you've ever been in a student union or chain bar and completely despaired of the world, and imagined some kind of bloody, horrific cull in your mind, then this is the show that gets these people and dumps them in the middle of the sea, away from people with actual brains. Sadly, we know that these dolts with at some point return to civilisation with TV inflated egos, making them even more unbearable.

I was twittering today and saw a tweet that made me laugh:
Lucy Baxter: Actually considering camping out at channel 4 for the shipwrecked finale so I can smash that Liverpudlian in the chops.
Its really mean to Mark but it made me giggle.
In the interest of balance, here’s one aimed at me:
Zedhedge: Greg Jones is definitely the best (so far). Andrew the Geek is inexplicably irritating and smug.
